Please note: A signed rental agreement stating your compliance with these policies is required of all groups that desire to stay at Camp Paddy Run.

Camp Paddy Run is a peaceful place surrounded by natural beauty. Please respect the property and its neighbors. Individuals and groups renting the camp must comply with the following regulations:

1. Disclosure of Use:

Upon filling out the reservation request form, renters must notify Camp Paddy Run of the nature of planned program activities and intended use of the property. Your stay at Camp Paddy Run should comply with these expressed activities and adhere to all applicable laws, codes and regulations. If there is a last minute change in plans, please inform our reservations coordinator.

Renters are responsible for the safety and supervision of its group and their behavior. Adult supervision of minor children is required on the premises at all times.

2. Rental Terms:

Renters agree to supervise and to assume full control and responsibility for all persons in your group as well as the responsible use of the property. Camp Paddy Runís caretaker or other volunteer staff may visit the property while it is in use for maintenance reasons or to ensure proper use of the camp.

Rental of the camp lodge includes water, electricity, and a normal amount of trash disposal. Beds and mattresses are available as well as the use of the kitchen and its cookware. Camp Paddy Run reserves the right to charge for any damage, defacement or other necessary repairs caused by the renter and/or excessive use of provided utilities.

4. Health & Safety Concerns:

Pool Use: During the summer months, the pool may be available for use. It is the renterís responsibility to provide a lifeguard or adult supervision at the pool during the entire time the pool is in use. Pool use is not guaranteed with the rental, as occasionally maintenance and health & safety issues beyond our control may arise.

Campfires: Campfires are permitted only in designated campfire circles. Never leave a campfire unattended. After use, douse the fire and ashes completely with water to avoid sparks and ashes from causing an uncontrolled fire.

It is understood that both Camp Paddy Run and the renter must comply with all lawful orders of appropriate fire control officials. During certain times of the year, you may have to report to local officials that you will be having an open air. During particularly dry seasons, open air fires may be prohibited by law.

Firewood is available at campfire circles for your use. Dead wood and sticks found on the ground can also be collected for firewood, but chopping down live trees or branches is strictly prohibited.

Ashes from cigarettes and other tobacco products can cause forest fires too. Smoking is limited to gravel areas only. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings.

First Aid: Camp Paddy Run does not provide medical supervision, treatment, maintenance or dispensing of medications to participants. These responsibilities belong to the rental groups. It is strongly recommended that you educate your group leaders on first-aid practices as well as outdoor-specific issues such as poison ivy, bee strings and animal encounters.

Vehicles: Use of personal vehicles at the facility is restricted to designated roads and parking areas. Speeds on these unpaved surfaces should not exceed 15 mph. No motor driven vehicles, other than transient vehicles, are allowed on the campís grounds. Any reckless use of vehicles is prohibited.
