Directions to Camp Paddy Run: Camp Paddy Run is halfway between Strasburg, VA and Wardensville, WV. To reach the camp, turn south from VA-55 onto Route 604. just west of Cedar Creek ( the Shenandoah County Line). This is 8.8 miles from I-81 ( exit 296 ) and 4.9 miles from Lebanon Church. Pass the Star Tannery Post Office and follow the blue Paddy Run signs along Routes 604, 600 and 602. The front gate of the camp is on Route 602. Directions from I-81: take exit 296 for Strasburg/ Rt 55 and head west on Rt. 55 toward Wardensville, WV. Go approximately 8 and a half miles to the Cedar Creek bridge. Immediately after crossing Cedar Creek, turn left on Star Tannery Road. In about a mile it turns slightly left at Brill Road and becomes Gravel Springs Road. In about another mile (at intersection with Pifer Road) it becomes Oates Road (Rt. 600). Stay to your left at the 'Y' in the road- you will see 'Star Market' just up ahead on your left. You will pass 'Star Market' on your left and go another mile to the intersection with Paddy's Run Road (Rt. 602). Turn left onto Paddy's Run Road- look for a field that has recently been cleared with horses and signs that say "Orndorff Corner." This is a gravel road- PLEASE DRIVE SLOW. It's a mile and a half to the camp from that turn. You'll go up a steep hill, the woods clear, there is a field on your right with a fence, a sign and a gate. Turn right through the gate. Note to Mapquest Users: Submitting the camp address and following Mapquest's 'Driving Directions' will take you the 'back way' into the camp via smaller secondary roads- many of which are unpaved. It is recommended you use the directions provided above.
